Want to help older adults and people living with a disability stay home just the way they like it? A small commitment, loads of flexibility and the rewards of making a quality of life difference and providing cognitive exercises for dementia. Your visits into homes of the elderly or people living with a disability will include varied responsibilities including personal care, social support, transport and other outings, providing our unique brain exercise program for dementia, and light domestic assistance.

As a local small business we offer a pleasant down to earth work environment, flexibility, proprietary in-house training systems to expand knowledge about dementia and other age-related conditions, and a proprietary brain exercise program that all caregivers assigned to dementia clients will receive certification in.

Qualifications required:

  • A passion for helping seniors to live a full life in their own home through companionship, meal preparation, physical and mental exercise, running errands, light house keeping, conversations about day to day planning and life-purpose, support to move around the home and hoisting out of bed, personal grooming support, and/or medication assistance.
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support Home and Community Care (aged care or disability), AIN, EN, or completed at least one year of a nursing degree, including a practicum, or at least 4 years experience as a residential or in-home caregiver (and two written references submitted with your application)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with a wide range of customers from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Current driver's licence and reliable motor vehicle (vehicle registered and comprehensively insured)
  • Able to visit Chatswood and surrounding areas
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
  • Own a smart phone - Openness to dialogue and discussion with colleagues to share experiences and learnings via a Facebook group or other sharing platform
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates. 
  • Current Police check
  • Understanding of how casual home care works Require a certificate III or IV in Aged Care or disability individual support, AIN, allied health assistant or EN, an interest in continuously learning, current first aid, CPR and police checks, own car. Send resume to
